TimeLine: 1957
15-1/2 inch Gene-Eve-Alex-Clea
Two piece suit originally designed by Coco Chanel in 1957 of knit jersey. The lined jacket is loosely fitted with darts coming up from the side seams and has wide contrasting color braid around the edges of the neck, front opening and sleeves. The braid can also be used to cover the waistband of the straight lined skirt or as a belt. Also included is a pattern for a round neck sleeveless blouse best made of light-weight china silk. For an authentic Chanel touch, hang a few heavy gold chains around the neck of the doll, hanging nearly down to the waist.
This pattern is made to fit 15 1/2-16" dolls such as Gene Marshall and other Ashton Drake vinyl fashion dolls, Alex by Madame Alexander, and Tyler Wentworth by Robert Tonner.
